New York stores were jammed  for Fashion’s Night Out, where shoppers rubbed elbows with celebrities. 

The event was the brainchild of Vogue Editor Anna Wintour with the hope that the event would help at the cash register during New York Fashion Week, which opened Thursday.

The Olsen twins were at Bergdorf Goodman, Justin Timberlake made an appearance at Saks, Charlize Theron at Dior, Kate Hudson at Stella McCartney and Hugh Jackman at Jeffrey.  Taylor Momsem performed at the Teen Vogue event and Oscar de la Renta was singing to loyal customers.
