Tonight’s episode of Survivor Samoa gives us a closer look at the opposing tribes.  Foa Foa can barely get a fire going, while they work and argue endlessly.  Over at the Galu camp they engage in some yoga before they start their day, with the exception of Shambo.

The yoga seems to be working as Galu continues their winning streak and again takes the immunity idol and reward.  The combined challenge involves the players racing out into the water to retrieve a crate but face members of the opposing tribe on their way, who will try to stop them.  Once they have all their crates, they must stack them so that there are no repeating colors on any side.

The reward for winning was a choice of comfort items such as pillows and blankets or more pratical items that will help them survive.  Russell, the leader of Galu, was called on to make the decision.  The leader chose the comfort items because he feels this will make the women happy.  Although,  he is not married to any of his tribemates, he is going with the philosophy ‘happy wife,  happy life’.  I think it was a wise decision, I’m sure many disagree.

The misfit Shambo, from the Galu tribe, was thrilled when she was sent to the losing tribe, because it gave her the opportunity to bond with the competition and search for the immunity idol.  The Foa Foa tribe welcomed her positive energy.

The puppet master Russell from Fao Fao didn’t get his way this week to vote off Ashley.  He campaigned hard, but Jaison campaigned harder and convinced everyone to vote off Ben.  Jaison couldn’t stand Ben and was very offended by Ben calling Yasmin ‘ghetto trash’.  Jaison felt it was a racist remark and Ben was nothing more then a bully.  I was happy to see Ben go home, but I wish they evicted him last week rather then voting Betsy off.

The previews for next week’s episode show that Russell is now gunning for Jaison eviction.  Will Russell get his way?  What do you think about Ben’s eviction?
