Dancing With the Stars, Season 11, Week 6 Recap 10/25/10
Week six of the competition gets underway with “Rock Night” as the seven remaining couples perform the Paso Doble or the Tango to see who will stay in the competition. All of the contestants will also perform a group Rumba to Gloria Estefan’s “Conga”.
The top 10 dances from all 11 seasons of DWTS were chosen by viewers at home:

#9 – Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson performing the Argentine Tango
#8 – Helio Castoneves and Julianne Hough performing the Quik Step from season 5
#7 – Apolo Ohno and Julianne Hough performing a free style from season 4
#6 – Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough performing the Paso Doble from season 9
#5 – Mel B and Maksim performing the Paso Doble from season 5
#4 – Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough performing the Paso Doble from season 10
#3 – Apolo Ohno and Julianne Hough performing the Samba from season 4

Audrina Patridge and Tony
Dance: Paso Doble to the song, “Another One Bites the Dust”
Judges Comments: Len said Audrina is getting on his nerves because her dancing lacks the character. Bruno agreed with Len. Carrie Ann also agreed with them but said the improvement Audrina has showed is ridiculous.
Score: 24/30 + 8 = 32
Kyle Massey and Lacey
Judges Comments: Bruno said Kyle’s footwork was much better. Carrie Ann said they were amazing this week. Len was also happy with their performance. He said their dancing is performance driven but it also needs technique.
Score: 23/30 + 7 = 30
Jennifer Grey and Derek
Dance: Paso Doble
Judges Comments: Carrie Ann said that Jennifer needed to calm down and she is going down hill. Len said she lost control during the dance. Bruno said Jennifer got the rage right but lost the quality of movement.
Score: 20/30 + 9 = 29
Rick Fox and Cheryl
Dance: Argentine Tango
Judges Comments: Len thought they did an excellent job. Bruno agreed. Carrie Ann said they did amazing.
Score: 24/30 + 6 = 30
Bristol Palin and Mark
Dance: Argentine Tango to “According to You”
Judges Comments: Bruno said best performance to date. Carrie Ann said they were AMAZING. Len said from chimp to almost a champ.
Score: 23/30 + 5 = 28
Kurt Warner and Anna
Dance: Paso Doble
Judges Comments: Carrie Ann said the dance did not have a lot of polish. Len said Kurt looked awkward. Bruno said Kurt looked like he was doing karate.
Score: 18/20 (+2) = 20
Brandy and Maks
Dance: Argentine Tango
Judges Comments: Len said Maks was Len’s hero. The dance of the night. Bruno said the tango really rocked. Carrie Ann said it was amazing.
Score: 26/30 + 10 = 36
The final dance of the evening is the rock & roll dance off with the last couple remaining receiving 10 points. Kurt and Anna were the first couple eliminated. The second couple eliminated was Briston and Mark (+5). The third couple eliminated was Rick and Cheryl (+6). Kyle and Lacey were the fourth couple eliminated (+7). Audrina and Tony (+8) were eliminated next. Jennifer and Derek were eliminated (+9) and Brandy and Maks were the final couple standing (+10). The numbers in ( ) are added to the couples original scores.
The highest score of the evening went to Brandy and Maks for the second week in a row!! Kurt and Anna had the lowest points of the evening with a total of 20.
