Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be joining ABC’s Good Morning America starting this Monday (Oct. 11, 7am to 9am ET) as a contributor on family issues.

ABC released a statement saying that the Daytime Emmy Award winner will cover hot-button issues regarding family, lifestyle and child rearing for the morning broadcast.

“I am thrilled to join the Good Morning America team, and I am thankful for this opportunity to raise awareness and explore the most important issues facing parents and children,”Hasselbeck said.

“Elisabeth brings a very distinctive style and unique perspective that fits well with the broadcast,”said Executive Producer Jim Murphy.

Hasselbeck will continue to co-host The View.
