It seems Taylor Swift’s writing about her ex-boyfriends has paid off. Swift was named country songwriter of the year at the BMI Country Awards, becoming the youngest person to win the honor at age 20.

Swift earned the award based on her compositions of her songs “Fifteen,” “White Horse” and “You Belong with Me,” as well as “Best Days of Your Life,” which was recorded by Kellie Pickler. The previous youngest winner in the category was Bill Anderson, who won at age 23 in 1960, followed by Johnny Cash, who won in 1956 at 24, as reported by TVGuide.com.

Swift also won country song of the year with co-writer Liz Rose for “You Belong with Me.” She is the first person to win the award for three straight years.

Tonight are the Country Music Awards where Taylor has been nominated for Female Artist of the Year.
