Kill Bill actress Daryl Hannah, 50, was arrested along with other environmental protesteors in front of the White House. Hannah was demonstrating against an oil pipeline to be built from Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast.  

Hannah sat on the pavement near the White House with the others and was taken away in handcuffs by the US Park Police after refusing orders to remove herself. According to the Daily Mail, before she was arrested, Hannah and the other protestors mentioned they wanted the United States to be independent of fossil fuels and seek new energy sources, calling on President Barack Obama to invest in clean energy. Hannah also wanted President Obama to resist the hugely influential oil industry.

This isn’t the first time Hannah has been arrested for environmental protests and has long been an advocate of greener, more sustainable living.
