Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced that they had split on July 15th and now sources claim that the couple broke-up over Scientology, with Lopez apparently more interested in Scientology than her soon to be ex-husband.

Lopez and Anthony were good friends with fellow Scientologists Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. However, in 2007, Lopez denied practicing Scientology and reportedly Lopez and Anthony couldn’t agree on whether or not they wanted to follow Scientology.

A source told Aol News that Lopez has “always been more into the church than him,” and the couple disagreed over how to school their children with Lopez adamant that their twins should be schooled in a Scientology school but Anthony opposed to the idea.  

The ex-couple have 3-year old twins together named Max and Emme.
