Kirsten Dunst is now a proud German (as well as American!) citizen. The 29-year-old actress told the German tabloid B.Z. that she just received her German citizenship.
Dunst explained, “I’m now a real international lady” and “one who can film in Europe without a problem.” She continued that, “it would be the greatest joy for me to act in a German film.”
However, she admitted to the magazine that her German-language skills left something to be desired. Dunst described her language skills in German as “at a child’s level” despite the fact that she frequently visits her father’s family in Hamburg.
Dunst also spoke about her love of Germany’s capital city, Berlin, saying “I would prefer to buy an apartment in Berlin. It’s such a young city, and right now so much is happening in Berlin.”
