Saturday Night Live (SNL) Covers Penn State Scandal With Devil Skit

By on November 13, 2011

Only Saturday Night Live (SNL) could cover a true life horror story with a skit.  Not one to shy away from the latest news, SNL took on the Penn State Nightmare in a skit with the devil, played by Jason Sudeikis.

The devil was informed by “Weekend Update” host Seth Meyers of sex charges against a former defensive coordinator and allegations that university officials failed to report the abuse.

Even the devil was disturbed by the news. Addressing Penn State students who protested football coach Joe Paterno’s firing, the devil spoke directly into the camera, asking, “Do you know how bad that made you look?” He also told them you are on the internet – this will be with you forever.

Disgusted by the scandal, the devil said, “Evil isn’t what it used to be” and quit. What’s next for the devil? He’s returning to his old job as a customer service agent for Time Warner.
