“Mick ‘Mankind’ Foley / Antonio Sabato Jr.” – After a week of fun and insight, the time spent apart for one of the couples proves to be too much and makes for an explosive reunion, on the Season Finale of Celebrity Wife Swap.

Superstar pro-wrestler and author Mick Foley and his wife, former model Colette, have been married for 21 years. They share a luxury condo in Florida with their wrestle-maniac children — Dewey (19), Noelle (17) Mickey (10) and Hughie (8). The family also consists of Randall, a yet-to-be-house-trained puppy. Colette feels loved but unsupported and underappreciated since she’s the one who picks up all of the toys, makes the beds and even cooks a different meal for each family member every day. While Mick is on the road and immersed in different projects and the kids are playing, Colette just doesn’t have time to keep a tidy house. Mick and Colette admit their family lifestyle lacks structure; however they make up for it with love.

Colette leaves balmy Florida for Los Angeles to swap lives with heartthrob actor/model Antonio Sabato, Jr. Antonio and his conservative Christian fiance, Cheryl, two self-admitted clean freaks.   They keep a spotless home, the cars are kept clean and shiny, and neither one will be able to sleep at night if the tea kettle is on the wrong burner.   Cheryl keeps a six-page, 65-item checklist of daily duties that must be done to ensure the household is properly maintained.  When Colette tries to follow the checklist but is completely overwhelmed.

Colette quickly realizes the Sabatos drive their daughter, Mina (9), in a pursuit of perfection with gymnastics classes she must attend several times a week, as well as daily piano practice. While changing diapers and feeding the Sabatos’ 3-month-old son, baby Antonio, Colette is brought back to her long-gone days (and nights) of caring for a newborn. Colette is impressed with Antonio and Cheryl’s home, but shocked to see how overworked the whole family is.

Back at the Foley house, Cheryl walks in and is immediately in a state of shock at the condition of the home and the smell.  And of course, after reading the manual, she starts cleaning.  A post-partum Cheryl is brought to tears when she realizes all that Colette does for her family. As she tries to live by Colette’s rules the first part of the week, she becomes a nervous wreck cleaning up after the puppy, cooking six individualized meals a night, breaking up the boys’ wrestling matches and contending with Mick’s laissez-faire parenting style.  She realizes that with all Colette does it is virtually impossible to keep the house clean.

Antonio admits that he and Cheryl butt heads a lot.

The rule change takes place:

Cheryl’s Rules

- Family dinner – will incorporate one meal

- Everyone cleans their rooms every day

- Mick gets a makeover and a new look

- Dancing date for Colette

Everyone pitches in to cook a meal and will sit down to dinner together.  Ten year old Mickey is having a hard time adjusting to the new rules – since he is used to doing what he wants.  For the first time in their lives,  the kids are expected to help out around the house.

Mickey is getting a makeover – the first stop is the dentist for some teeth.  With a cleaned up house and a cleaned up Mick, the family heads to the beach.

Colette’s Rules

- slow down

- no more chores – let the house go for a day

- Mina doesn’t have to do gymnastics or play piano every day

The Sabato family has nothing to do but spend the day together.  After spending the day at the amusement park, Antonio realizes how nice it is to be able to have fun with his daughter.

At the end of the week, the two couples will meet for the first time in a deeply honest and highly-charged exchange of views. Both couples will make a frank assessment of each other and talk about what they’ve learned from the experience.

Antonio told Cheryl they need to slow down and enjoy their time.  Antonio tells Cheryl that they need to stop trying to be perfect.  Cheryl is upset that Antonio brought this up and says she is going to stay at the hotel with the baby for the night.  She walks away from the table crying.  Antonio apologized and told her he loved her but that wasn’t enough and Cheryl went to a hotel while Antonio went home.

Two weeks later, Cheryl was back home and she admits she acted ridiculous.

  1. Felicity says:

I don’t feel sorry for Cheryl at all. She is a forty year old woman behaving like a spoilt child not getting her own way. Cheryl has dramatized everything & clearly is a control freak.

  2. Karen says:

Antonio Sabato Jr should have left her sulking in the woods having a tantrum think the Cheryl mood swing dramas would be a daily occurrence. I cannot believe she is forty one years old behaving like a child that’s not getting her own way. If she loved Antonio she wouldn’t have publicly embarrassed and humiliated him for the whole world to see. She is too high maintenance and a drama queen. It makes sense at her age why she has never married, think the guys run quickly because they see how “painful” she is. To me she isn’t a good Mom because no Mom would agree to leaving their young baby with a stranger for that long. Cheryl has serious mental problems which Antonio shouldn’t have to deal with. Get rid of the woman pay her child support, it would be a lot easier than being with someone who mentally abuses you every day. Imagine what Mommy Yvonne Sabato thinks of Cheryl now? I hope Antonio got her to sign a prenuptial agreement that’s all I’ve got to say!
Cheryl is not the right woman for Antonio. Constantly walking on egg shells around her incase he says the wrong thing is not a good life for him. She’s too demanding and highly strung.

  3. BooBoo says:

While I do think Cheryl overreacted; however, Collette comes across as a bitch by ripping into her about her list when confronted about her disgusting house. She is at wit’s end & can’t put family values in her home yet has the nerve to attack Cheryl?!

  4. James says:

I was embarrassed for Antonio how his Fiancee acted. I surely would like to
chalk it up to hormones from her recent baby.

The Foleys are a class act. Both are great families, just
wish it would have ended with both families being able to honestly
evaluate themselves and take or leave it.

    Oh well.
