Freida Pinto clarified on The Jimmy Kimmel Show that her and boyfriend Dev Patel are not engaged.
She explained, “There’s absolutely no truth to this. It’s as much a rumor as the Bond girl was. Fans get excied when such stories come out, but we don’t want to mislead anyone. That’s why celebrities make an extra effort to give clarifications. I honestly don’t care, because those who know me, know the truth.”
The Slumdog Millionaire actress also talked about her sometimes long-distance relationship with London-based Patel and the frequent rumors about them.
Pinto said, “I gues a lot of actors who are in relationships have to face this, and we are not expectations. but we we try and not get too upset about it. We don’t divulge much, but if people want to write about things, I don’t have control over and, I won’t sleep oover it.”
She also confirmed that she wants to get married in the future, revealing “…I’m not thinking about it right now because there are so many things to do and achieve. Marriage can’t be an instant decision. It’s a massive responsibility. It’s not like you wake up one morning and say, ‘ok, let’s get married today.’”
