Seal has revealed that he has chosen to be open about his recent split from Heidi Klum because he felt his fans deserved an explanation. Heidi, though, has remained silent.

The pair long thought to be one of Hollywood’s strongest couples have renewed their vows annually since they were first married. They stunned fans and Hollywood last month when they confirmed they were splitting up.

Seal has spoken out about the split on chat shows and radio interviews as he felt compelled to reveal the truth behind the split. He said that he felt that as he and Heidi had publicized their marriage so much, giving fans the picture of an ideal relationship to aspire to, he couldn’t be silent in the wake of the end of their relationship.

Of Heidi’s decision to be silent, he said: ‘And while I respect my wife’s decision not to talk about it, I felt that people at least deserved some kind of explanation.’
