It is being reported that Madonna will be preparing for her world tour at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island in Uniondale, NY.
Beginning on Monday, Madonna will take over the arena to build a huge stage and set up for her upcoming world tour, reports Newsday. Under an agreement reached this week, Coliseum employees and Madonna’s road crew will take over the arena through mid to late May. Madonna herself is expected to appear for rehearsals and show preparations, however she has no plans to perform publicly at the arena.
No major sources are confirming nor denying these rumors. SMG, the management company that owns the arena, has failed to comment on this. Charles Wang, the owner of the New York Islanders, as well as Madonna’s management have also failed to comment on it, however music industry sources say that she is heading to the Coliseum late April until mid-May.
It would make sense that Madonna could rehearse for her tour at the Coliseum because other than some graduation ceremonies, the arena will not be hosting any events from April 29 through June 17.
Madonna’s world tour begins May 29 in Israel.
