Ryan Gosling is getting quite the reputation in New York for saving the day. He no longer just breaks up street fights, he also saves women from getting hit by taxis.

Laurie Penny, a British writer, tweeted about her save by the star. She was crossing 6th Avenue, and not looking the right way because she’s from London when Gosling pulled her from the path of an oncoming taxi.

Penny commented that a nearby woman commented: “You lucky bitch.”

Penny also added, though it isn’t clear if she was joking or not: “He did not say ‘hey, girl.’ He said ‘hey, watch out!’”. That is in reference to the popular internet meme which features Ryan Gosling deep in thought, captioned with the words ‘Hey girl’.

Isn’t it about time he got his own superhero franchise?!
