This week’s Modern Family recap will bring you back. Just imagine the wind blowing through your perm, blasting some Hall & Oates, and horsing around with your Mr. Microphone…
With a slight nudge from Andre, Phil toys with the idea of buying a new sports car, and just like in Toy Story, toys become real and Phil’s fantasy becomes reality. Yeah, Claire is goes to totally punish him when he gets home…
While taking Lily on her first visit home to Vietnamese Chinatown, her two dads lose Bunny, her wonderful stuffed pal to a dirty train.
Prepping for his trip to Pebble Beach with the fam, Jay tries to be flashier than the cameras on Project Runway, in order to impress his old high school football buddies. Unfortunately, his private plane never leaves the ground (with him on it) and the car doesn’t get too far. About to throw in the towel, Jay admits to Gloria the one trophy he was looking to show off the whole time was her. It turns out, all along that was the only thing he needed to say, as a restored rescue helicopter ride lifts him to redemption…
Lacking room in his new car, Phil is forced to swap his new ride with Claire, along with his cool, lax ways. Claire on the other hand, frees herself from her errands and drives up the coast to the beach in Phil’s new ride. Sadly for her, she also relieves herself of her keys and a way home.
Cam and Mitchell’s journey for the lost Bunny ends where it all began, in the subway, where they learn loss is far better than a stuffed bunny in the tainted hands and mouth of a “home-challenged” bum…
A Few Last Thoughts…
- Really? You don’t know Nemo? It’s on an endless loop in the den.” – Cam
- “Well, I just talked to the concierge and room service will save me a bread pudding.” - Manny
- “Okay, it looks like Lily’s missing and we’re offering $25 to get her back.” - Mitchell
- “It’s just like last year when you wouldn’t take off those skinny jeans.” - Hayley to Phil
- ”They don’t catch up, that’s called a collision.” - Mitchell, speaking to Cam about trains)
- “I was worried she would think we were talking her back to Vietnam, but she seemed okay.” – Cam, on Lily’s first trip to Chinatown
- Throughout the young history of MF, the writers have spoiled us with witty quotes filled with hilarity, but this week’s show was memorable, as it seemed to be foaming out the mouth with one sidesplitting joke after the next.
Leave a comment on this week’s recap, but first have you seen my missing bunny? It has brown and white fur and sympathetic eyes…

Right Shari. Jess, I can only imagine Cam’s TV room having a Disney movie, like “Finding Nemo” on repeat… it seems to be consistent with everything Cam stands for.
I believe it means that it’s on video and it keeps playing over and over and over.
Hi. What does “It’s on an endless loop in the den” mean?
