Phillip Phillips Sings The Letter on American Idol 5/2/12 – Video

Posted by May 2nd, 2012 | 0 Comments »

Phillip Phillips has chosen The Letter by the Boxtops for his 60′s song. He changed the song quite a bit causing Jimmy and Stevie to have a difference in opinion as to whether they thought it was good or not. Stevie liked it much more than Jimmy.

What the judges say is what really matters:

Randy says he came out made it his own, vibed it up but he made it new for Randy and he loved it. J. Lo doesn’t know the original song but felt the melody was lacking. She felt he was a dynamic performer. Steven said he missed the melody but he gets away with it and should be proud.
