American Idol season 10 winner, Scotty McCreery had a busy week!
McCreery has spent the last few days in Nashville for the CMA Music festival, and just hours before he was officially a high school graduate he won the breakthrough video of the year award for his song “The Trouble with Girls” at the CMT Music Awards.
After receiving the honor at the awards show Wednesday night, McCreery quickly hopped on a plane to make it to his 8am high school graduation ceremony at the Raleigh Convention Center Thursday morning.
Unfortunately for fans, you needed a ticket into the ceremony to see Scotty graduate! Each student received eight tickets to hand out to family and friends for this momentous occasion. Scotty plans to attend North Carolina State University in the fall.
