Every season of American Idol has their country singing hopeful trying to come out on top in the competition, so why not finally add a country singer to the judges table? It looks like Idol is trying to now!
Deadline.com is reporting that the show is trying to get Brad Paisley to join Mariah Carey as a new judge for the hit singing competition. According to the site, now that the show has replaced their former female judge, Jennifer Lopez, they want to find a male judge to replace the departing Steven Tyler. They see strong potential in Paisley.
For the new season of Idol it is being speculated that the show is contemplating making it a four-person judges panel, which they had done previous to Tyler and Lopez joining the show. Sources tell US Weekly, that if they do get a fourth judge, Randy Jackson’s role as judge will change to a mentor now that Carey has joined the show and Jackson manages her.
