All the letters I sent Disney has finally paid off, the original cast of ‘Boy Meets World’ will be a part of Disney’s new spin-off called ‘Girl Meets World.‘
Ben Savage, who played Corey Matthews on the original show, and whose prayers of getting a job and being relevant again were answered, had this to say on his Twitter:
“I’m going to be a father! Well, on TV at least. The ‘Boy Meets World’ sequel is officially happening!”
Savage’s love interest, and eventual wife on the show, Topanga, played by Danielle Fishel, also hinted on her Tumblr that fans might see other familiar faces on the show. Which basically means that I will shriek like a little girl anytime they make an appearance.
The spin-off will focus on Corey and Topanga’s daugther, Riley, and every episode will have Riley learning a life lesson. Savage’s character will also have him play the new history teacher at his old high school. Meanwhile, I will be playing my 12-year-old self when this show hits the air.
