Meredith Grey tells Derek Shepard that Cristina Yang will be staying with them until she feels better after Dr. Thomas’ death. Cristina Yang goes back into Seattle Grace and is greeted by the new head cardiologist Dr. Russell and he tells her to run his interns and make him look good and that’s all he asks while he performs on his patients. Cristina Yang has to take on Dr. Russell’s case and tells the interns they are scrubbing in.

Alex Karev and Meredith Grey deal with a 17-year-old who has been taking steroids for a few years and his liver is crashing. Alex still wants to buy Meredith’s house, but is demanding she fix a few things which she doesn’t feel he should do and take it as is. They continue to fight during surgery and then they find out the 17-year-old has cancer. Meredith tells Alex everything he wants to change there are reasons that they are there. And he says he will take the house as is.

Callie Torres tells Dr. Bailey that Arizona Robbins is walking on her prosthetic leg, but wants to be perfect and refuses to come in until it is perfect. Dr. Bailey calls Arizona Robbins and asks her about a patient she has and asks to look at her chart. Arizona agrees to allow an intern to come, but Dr. Bailey never sends the intern thinking Arizona will come in because she would be too curious not too. Arizona gets up and starts to walk breaking a vase and sees that the chart has not been left outside her door. She calls Dr. Bailey and asks why she doesn’t have the chart.  Arizona continues to call Dr. Bailey for the chart to be sent. Arizona finally walks into Seattle Grace and tells Dr. Bailey what the child has. And continues to walk with Dr. Bailey to discuss the case to Callie’s amazement.

Jackson tells Chief Richard that an email he tried to send to his mother was sent to him and he was upset with him for that. Chief Richard says he was sorry and will never do that again.  In the end Chief Richard tells Jackson that he is too concerned in his relationship with his mother and that he is happy that he is with his mother. Jackson and April Kepner are still sleeping together and she is at war with their relationship. April tells Jackson thinking that it was only sex and he tells her no it isn’t for him.
