Kanye West, Alicia Keys, and Billy Joel are among many artists performing at the 12.12.12, a concert at Madison Square Garden to support the Hurricane Sandy Relief.
The December 12 concert will also feature Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, The Who, Roger Waters, and Jon Bon Jovi.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which is providing money and materials to tri-state organizations helping those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
12.12.12 is a collaborative effort between Clear Channel Media, the Madison Square Garden company, and the Weinstein Company. These are the same companies that came together forThe Concert for New York after 9/11. The concert will be televised, but no information has been provided for the telecast yet. Ticket information has not been announced yet either but should be in the coming days.
Another musical event for Sandy is being held in Brooklyn Heights on November 17. Occupy Sandy Benefit Concert will feature a more indie lineup, including Vampire Weekend, Real Estate, Devendra Banhart, and members of the Diry Projectors.
