Claire is stuck with the daunting task of babysitting pregnant, forgetful Gloria, however she deep down basks in the glory of watching Gloria human for once… and fat, very, very fat…
Meanwhile, Mitchell must be the firefighter and Cam a cat in their scenario. Cam wants to stand up for what he believes is right, as he sits in his favorite tree (Treeona, to be precise), in order to save it from being cut down. That is, until his theater troupe calls in and Cam must be an emergency lead in a play.
Hayley begins her community service for her wrongdoings in college all while Alex stoops down so low, as to try to capture an embarrassing photo of her. Unfortunately for Alex, she drops her phone into a sewage grate and ends up a perfect candidate for an incriminating photo.
As it turns out, Claire wastes so much effort attempting to rid Gloria of her forgetfulness, she finds herself in a predicament after being caught accidentally stealing a sweatshirt. Lucky for her, after being hounded by Paul (Blart Grocery Store Cop), Gloria’s Columbian water broke like an exploding water balloon… Or so we thought. We soon learn it was all a clever ruse. Not going to lie, I was fooled.
At Doug-lympics, Manny does a poor job of fitting in, while doing anything athletic. After forcing Jay to stay with the dads, Phil finds himself regretting his kind gesture when Jay tells humiliating stories about him. Jay however, soon finds himself in the ring with Phil, underestimating the pent-up rage inside the little, joyous fella.
In the end, Cam and Mitchell save the day, and the tree, but nearly lose a “cat” in the process…
A Few Last Thoughts…
- As I said earlier, I fell for the Gloria fake labor. But, at the moment I did find it interesting that they showed the water on the floor after she supposedly went into labor, wondering if I had ever seen that in a movie or show before.
- “They’re gonna eat you alive, suburbia!” – Luke to Hayley on her first day of community service
- “I will send you back to Mexico.” – Jay to Manny
- “I’m a doer and an action taker. Sean Penn would play me in a movie about this, or Anne Hathaway, if they wanted a female driven vehicle.” – Cam
- “No hospital? Wow, oh you’re one of those, huh? Please don’t have it in the pool though, ’cause we swim in there.” – Claire
- “Cats, now and forever. Actually just until this Thursday, it’s been described as transcendent.” – Cam
