We are down to the final 10 performers on The Voice.

Contestant: Melanie Martinez (Team Adam)

Melanie’s Song Seven Nation Army – I like the fact that Melanie is accompanying herself on the guitar. And from what I can tell, she’s doing a great job. The crowd seems to love her – as they do every week – and I just love, love, love the sound of her voice. Adam told her in the behind the scenes clips that she needed to bring the “wow” factor, and after hitting some high and long notes toward the end of the song, I think she did just that.
Judges’ Comments: Blake told Melanie that he thought she did a great job, while Christina told her that she saw that she was trying to push herself a bit, and that she is definitely looking forward to seeing more. Cee Lo told Melanie that her performance was “the coolest thing” he’s seen all season, and that he is a fan, while her coach – Adam – commends Melanie for “staying strong” and staying true to the version of the song that she wanted to sing.

My Rating: 8.4 – a bit technically better than Terry, and some added tenths for being the youngest contestant in the competition.
