Top 8, Top 8! I am so excited to see the this season’s Top 8. As a reminder, the bottom two artists – regardless of their team – will be heading home. As far as performances go, we’ll be treated to a show by Rascal Flatts, and Christina and Adam will be joining their teams on the stage.

A final reminder: iTunes purchases count as votes, and if artists hit the Top 10 their votes are multiplied by 10. And guess what folks, while every artist charged, Melanie hit number 8, and Cassadee hit number 1. And if you couldn’t tell from my recap last night Cassadee is my favorite to win it all this season, and I couldn’t be happier for her! Also, we’re going to be treated to an impromptu performance by the artists – we, the viewers, have the opportunity to vote for which group of artists we’d like to perform certain songs. I think that’s silly, but oh well.
