I was jealous of every single party Jess and the gang hit up on the Christmas special of New Girl. None of the shabby 20-something parties I attend have acrobats, cookie decorating or any other festive holiday extravaganzas. I have, however, had exes follow me from party to party looking to talk to me, which is what happened to Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) on this week’s holiday-themed episode.

The gang decided to try to attend every Christmas (and I think a few Jewish) parties they were invited to. Two rules: Jess is the designated driver and every goodbye is an Irish one.

I’m going to get this out of the way first, because I can’t stop thinking about it: guest star Olivia Munn humped, hinted and outright cookie decorated her attempts to get Nick (Jake Johnson) into bed. They tried doing it in a sleigh, which didn’t even take off into the night, and Nick decided he wasn’t ready to deal with the sexed up antics of his “stripper girlfriend” until Jess gave him a much needed pep talk about fearless women. And then were a series of Forgiveness Lap Dances – even Schmidt tried to get in there.

Speaking of Schmidt (Max Greenfield), he had to deal with being a Jew during the Christian holidays. But it wasn’t nearly as funny as it could have been because he was dealing with the aftermath of Cece rejecting him.
