Taylor Swift celebrated her 23rd birthday on Thursday by releasing her music video for ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’. The edgy new video was released on MTV.com and features a pink-haired Swift trying to pick up the pieces after bad boy Reeve Carney has left her.

I think when it’s all over, it just comes back in flashes, you know? It’s like a kaleidoscope of memories . . . it just all comes back. But he never does,” the singer says in the two-minute intro to the song. “I think part of me knew the second I saw him that this would happen . . . I knew his world moved too fast, and burned too bright . . . I guess I just lost my balance. I think that the worst part of it all, wasn’t losing him. It was losing me.”
