Melanie’s Song Crazy – which is a song by Cee Lo’s band, Gnarles Barkley. However, it’s been “Melanie-ized,” which makes it infinitely better. This song is just… wow. Melanie makes everything sound completely new and just – fantastic.

Judges’ Comments: Christina starts off by giving the backstage folks “props” for giving Melanie the best on-stage equipment. A tiny piano! It’s amazing. She tells her that it was “a great effort,” while Cee Lo commends Melanie’s taste in music and says she did a great job. Adam acknowledges that there were some “pitch issues” but follows it with “who cares?” He follows that with an anecdote about a friend of his who has a daughter that, while at the mall, said she wanted to buy a “Melanie dress,” illustrating that Melanie has already firmly installed herself as a pop-culture entity.
