American Idol made a stop in Chicago tonight to find the cities best singers.  Lazaro Arbos fit the bill.  The 21-year-old Cuban native who moved to Florida when he was 10, auditioned with “Bridge Over Troubled Water”.

Lazaro gave a moving performance after he told the judges he has a significant stutter since he was a child, but it goes away when he sings.

After the judges voted unanimously to send him to Hollywood, Arbos broke down in happy tears.

Grab some tissues and watch Lazaro’s video on page 2!!

I enjoyed the judges bantor. I didn’t thank any of the contestants were *exceptionally* gifted…not to the extent as I’ve heard in years past. There were, however, some nice human-interest stories which will carry a few in the coming weeks.
