The big question on tonight’s episode of Scandal will be how does the firm get Huck off the hook for the attempted assassination of President Grant. The opening scene with Huck is far from pleasant as he is being water boarded so he will confess to the shooting.

Assistant U.S. Attorney David Rosen is a witness to this torture and wants to put an end to this “interrogation”. His words fall on deaf ears though as the torture continues. And if you like confessions, Verna (Supreme Court Judge) admits to Olivia that she was the one that turned over the evidence to acting President Langston that put Huck in this position.

Verna calls a meeting of, let’s call it a secret council (First Lady, Olivia, Chief of Staff, Hollis Doyle), but doesn’t tell Cyrus about the meeting. The reason, she saw Hollis with a burner phone that he locked away in his desk, and finds this to be disturbing. Olivia has Harrison and Abby do a little clandestine work and break into Hollis’ desk and copy the information on the phone, a certain number seems of particular interest. Verna believes Hollis is after one thing, power.
