White Collar is back and in this week’s episode is all about the quest to find out the truth about what really happened with Neal’s father all those years ago. Trying to find out what happened, Peter, Neal, and the team find themselves going up against a Senator who just so happened to be James’ captain years ago.
Both Peter and Neal suspect that Senator Pratt was a dirty cop on the Flynn payroll and responsible for the recent murder of the youngest Flynn as he was being transported off to jail. After meeting with Senator Pratt and rattling his feathers, Peter gets the go ahead from his boss to do what’s necessary to bring him down, but receives a warning, be careful because Pratt can hurt him.
Armed with information on where Pratt will be and with help from Diane, Neal and Peter plant a bug in his briefcase which allows them to keep an eye on his movements. They witness a private meeting Pratt has with one of his biggest campaign supporters who just so happens to also be in the construction business, leading the teams antenna’s to go up. As they continue to dig further, things turn dangerous when Peter winds up in a car accident. It appears that someone must have tampered with his brakes and realizing the depth of what is going on, Elizabeth asks Neal to keep Peter out of the loop this time so he can stay safe.
In addition to trying to catch the Senator, they are also trying to solve the puzzle of the key that Ellen left behind; what does it open? Knowing Mozzie is the one who can crack this, Neal asks his friend to do what he can to figure out this mystery while Peter assigns Jones to stick close to Moz and find out exactly what he’s up to.
