In case you didn’t want to stand 4 days in line to have the chance to participate in a talent competition, now you can get discovered from the seat of your own chair as Simon Cowell is working on launching an online talent contest with YouTube.
After years of showcasing every black V-neck that he owns while judging shows like American Idol and now, The X-Factor, Cowell will soon be taking advantage of the power that social media has and will launch a talent search online. The show will be called “The You Generation,” and will begin next month. The show will not only search for musicians, but everyone from magicians, chefs, and any other person with a weird talent who uploads videos.
Regular Joe’s like you and I can vote and pick our favorite. For a year, a winner will be chosen every two weeks.
It will be interesting to see what comes of this new project that Cowell is launching. Cowell will for sure be searching for the new Justin Bieber, but will probably settle for a sassy cat playing some instrument.
