Although he waited seven years to return to music, Justin Timberlake is wasting no time putting out new songs. Case in point, his 2013 release of The 20/20 Experience; a 20 track album broken up into 2 discs.
Part 1 as we already know, released in March and went on to become a huge success…as most of us were hoping for. Part 2, releases on September 30, leaving JT fans to wait with bated breath. His first single off the second album, “Take Back the Night” debuted this summer and it failed to thrill me. Hopefully the rest of the album isn’t a disappointment.
As anticipation builds for part 2 of The 20/20 Experience, 32-year-old Timberlake has announced the track list for that album. The songs are as follows:
Gimme What I Don’t Know (I Want)
Take Back the Night
Drink You Away
You Got It On
Only When I Walk Away
Not a Bad Thing
His manager, Johnny Wright told Rolling Stone, “Everyone’s going to have a different opinion. But for me, the first half is about new love, the honeymoon, when you’re just getting into a relationship. And when you get to the second part, the relationship is established and things are going on.”
Sounds like part 2 is going to have a much different sound than the first. JT fans, are you excited for the upcoming release? Do you think “Take Back the Night” is any indication of what we’ll hear on the new album? Sound off in the comments section.
