Kate Winslet, who married Ned Rocknroll last December, says she won’t be taking her husband’s last name, and doesn’t think she will ever change her name.
Winslet sat down with British newspaper The Telegraph to discuss why she won’t become Kate Rocknroll anytime soon:
“I was never going to change my name to Rocknroll. I’ve never changed my name to anything so I didn’t see a reason to start now. I quite like Kate Winslet; in fact I think it’s very flashy. I’m proud of my name because I’m one of three girls and we have one boy in our family so essentially the only person who is going to carry the name along is my brother and he doesn’t have any children at the moment.
Winslet was first married to director Jim Threapleton whom she had a daughter with, and that was followed with a marriage to director Sam Mendes who she also had a child with. Perhaps third time will be the charm for Winslet, who is currently pregnant, and says she is “really happy” and that “things are wonderful.”
I don’t exactly think that Winslet won’t ever change her name as the only man she would change it for is Leonardo Dicaprio. The reason her marriages keep failing is because Winslet is determined to keep her “I’ll never let go” Titanic promise and never, ever let go of Dicaprio.
