Roy Garber, ‘Shipping Wars’ Star Dies at 49
‘Shipping Wars’ star Roy Garber died on Friday night, follow a massive heart attack, TMZ reported. The 49-year-old actor, who was known as ‘Silver Jesus’, had an existing heart condition.
Garber leaves behind his teenage son, Travis, whom he raised by himself , a long-time girlfriend, and his beloved cat Muffy.
‘Shipping Wars’, which started in 2012, is a reality show on A&E about independent truckers who pick up big jobs under tights time constraints that regular carries will not accept — and make a lot of money doing it. The show is currently just finished its fifth season.
A rep from A&E released this statement in response to Roy’s death: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family […] Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed.”
