John Travolta and Idina Menzel took an iconic moment from last year’s Academy Awards where Travolta announced Idina Menzel as ‘Adele Dazeem,’ mocked it and turned it around – finally.

'john travolta is glom gazingo'

One of the most talked about moments from the 2014 Oscars was the moment that John Travolta introduced the star of Frozen, Idina Menzel, as Adele Dazeem. Frozen, the number one Disney movie in 2014, became known for the famous flub, as did Menzel. People questioned Travolta’s ability to read a teleprompter, as well as his ability to speak the English language. After all, how is it possible to mutilate someone’s name so badly? And live to tell about it.

Finally, a year later, Idina Menzel has turned the tables on John Travolta and we can all laugh about the incident – with Menzel getting the last laugh and John Travolta still being talked about – only this time he is being referred to as ‘that creepy guy.’

The latest incident, this time planned, began when Idina Menzel introduced John Travolta saying, ‘Please welcome to the stage my dear friend, Glom Gazingo.’ When Travolta walked out he responded by saying, ‘I deserve that. I deserve that but you, my darling, my beautiful, my wickedly talented Idina Menzel,’ all while creepily holding her face.

The two laughed it off with Menzel getting the last laugh saying, ‘It’s not like it’s going to follow me around or anything.’

Unfortunately for Idina Menzel the incident has followed her around. She is not only known for her role and singing in the hit movie, Frozen, but as Adele Dazeem. John Travolta, who starred in hit movies such as Grease and Saturday Night Live, will forever be remembered as that guy who mispronounced Idina Menzel’s name and now as the creepy guy who grabbed Adele Dazeem’s face at the 87th Academy Awards.

John Travolta cannot win. It’s time to throw in the towel.
