Nashville 2/4/15 – “I’m Not That Good At Goodbye”
This episode of Nashville starts out with us finding out that Layna is in fact alive. The reason Jeff called Teddy about what happened to her before he called 911 was to warn him about what went down. He was worried his reputation could potentially be on the line considering the fact he associates with a hooker and everything.
Gunnar has an endearing duet with his not biological son Micah. Gunnar knows he has to tell his son the truth: that he found out that Kylie lied and Micah was actually his dead brother’s son. I should have seen this twist coming but it’s safe to say I didn’t. Gunnar continues to battle with Kylie’s parents in court over custody of Micah.
Luke isn’t taking Rayna calling off the wedding very well. I mean, no one would. But his anger is actually pretty scary and it brings out his true colors. In anger, he rushes to Deacon’s house and is positive that’s where he’ll find Rayna. Deacon lets him know that Rayna isn’t actually there and that they haven’t talked in weeks. He’s pleased to let Luke know that it had nothing to do with him and everything to do with Luke himself. Deacon tries to kick Luke out without any fights but Luke crosses the line when he calls Rayna a bitch. In a dumb heat of the moment situation, Deacon and Luke brawl out on the street in broad daylight. That doesn’t seem too smart to me nor does it seem smart or realistic that Scarlett is the one who breaks it up.
