American Idol Recap 3/25/15- Season 14- Top 9 Perform- Who Went Home?
“American Idol” is back for another exciting week and this time, it is eighties week. My favorite decade. You can keep up with season fourteen of “American Idol” here.
Last week was movie week where the top ten performed songs from, duh, movies. In the middle of the show, we were treated to an eighties musical movie icon performance: Kenny Loggins came out and performed “Footloose.” It worked really well because “Danger Zone” from Top Gun was sung by one of the contestants and that was Loggins’ song. On top of that, “Let’s Hear It For the Boy” from “Footloose” was sung as well. It was the perfect interlude for a show that was to reveal the top ten, the ones who will be going on tour with this season.
There were some really great performances and there were some not so great performances. Everyone loves Daniel Seavey but he really butchered “Lost Stars” by Adam Levine. I think it is time for him to go and grow elsewhere because this is too much. At the end of the show, the singer in jeopardy of leaving was Quaasim Middleton. He had to sing for the one and only save that judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban have. By the end of his performance, Harry said that this was the best performance of the night.
With that being said, they had to decide if they would use their only save so early in the season. They did so that means a double elimination this evening with two people leaving and no saves left. Here are those performing for us tonight:
- Adanna Duru
- Clark Beckham
- Daniel Seavey
- Joey Cook
- Maddie Walker
- Nick Fradiani
- Qaasim Middleton
- Quentin Alexander
- Rayvon Owen
- Tyanna Jones
Keep reading to see who is sent home!
Let’s do this and get ready to say good-bye to two of our favorites because the one and only save has been used! I love the eighties and Ryan Seacrest!
