Dakota Johnson Hosts Saturday Night Live 2/28/15 – Don Johnson & Melanie Griffith Cameos
Dakota Johnson, the star of the blockbuster movie, 50 Shades of Grey, hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time on February 28, 2015. Johnson joked about the movie and took fake questions from the audience before revealing her mother, Melanie Griffith hosted Saturday Night Live in December 1988 and after the show her father, Don Johnson proposed to her mother and nine months later she was born. She confirmed the timing of her birth with her parents, who were in the audience trying to cover their faces. When Dakota asked Griffith and Johnson what they were doing, Johnson said, ‘we were just afraid you were going to be naked.’
Skits included a new take on Cinderella, an awkward 50 Shades press junket, Worf M.D., and more. Weekend Update included an apology from Kanye West played by Jay Pharaoh, who rapped an apology about everything from the escaped llamas to giving daughter North a directional name.
