Each of the four coaches, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams, have battled it out and their teams are almost complete. Next week, the blind auditions will end and the battle rounds will begin. Following the final choices from the blind auditions, the second hour of The Voice will begin with the battle rounds.

The coaches team up with the music industry’s top recording artists to offer their knowledge and skills as advisors. In this phase, the coaches pit two of their own team members against each other in a dueling duet. After the vocal face-off, each coach must choose which artist from their team is the strongest, and has the option of stealing losing artists from an opposing coach. Each coach has two steals during the battle rounds where their artists will proceed to the knockout rounds.

The coaches have chosen the mentors for their teams. Christina has chosen former boybander Nick Jonas, who will help to advise her contestants during next week’s battle round. Blake Shelton selected All About That Bass singer Meghan Trainor, who recently scored two Grammy nods. Adam Levine, chose British singer, Ellie Goulding to be his celebrity advisor. Finally, Pharrell Williams definitely went with the most experienced mentor of the season – legendary R&B singer, Lionel Richie.
