American Idol 2015 Season 14 – Who are the Final 6?
And then there were six! American Idol has the final six contestants for Season 14 of the reality television show.
Competing for the top six were Jax, Nick Fradiani, Quentin Alexander, Joey Cook, Clark Beckham, Tyanna Jobes and Rayvon Owen. Singing American Classics, the seven finalists gave it their all.
The contestants sang the following songs:
Clark Beckham – “Moon River”; Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition”
Jax – Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”; Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart”
Joey Cook – Jefferson Airplane’s “Somebody to Love”; “My Funny Valentine”
Nick Fradiani – Billy Joel’s “Only the Good Die Young”; Tom Petty’s “American Girl”
Quentin Alexander – Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way”; Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence”
Rayvon Owen – Willie Nelson’s “Always on My Mind”; The Doobie Brothers’ “Long Train Runnin’”
Tyanna Jones – Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Proud Mary”; Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers’ “Why Do Fools Fall In Love”
Who were the bottom two finalists who had to sing for the save?
Singing for the save means the contestants had to perform a song, and similar to the competing musical reality show, The Voice, America tweets who they believe deserves to return for another week of the competition.
The finalists were revealed in the following order to be safe:
While Tyanna was safe first, the judges were hard on her first performance of ‘Why do Fools Fall in Love.’
That leaves Joey Cook and Ravin Owen as the bottom two.
Quentin verbalizes how upset he is, saying it’s ‘whack’ that his friends are on the bottom two. Harry chimes in and says that if Quentin is so upset, he can leave because he said that it was “whack.” Harry felt that he was demeaning the competition, but Quentin attempted to clear it up.
America voted and decided to save Rayon, completing the final six.
