The Blacklist TV Recap 4/2/15 “Vanessa Cruz”
Last week on The Blacklist…after bodies showing the signs of medical experimentation are found, Reddy points Liz and The FBI into the direction of a billionaire financing research into human immortality. The billionaire denies knowing of this type of experimentation, wherein people suffering from brain damaged are kidnapped and experimented upon, but it turns out he knew all along, but is unable to get his primary researcher to come in. To this end he asks Reddy, who snaps the scientist up just before Liz and the FBI locate him.
As it turns out he wasn’t working on immortality at all, but a cure for his fiancée who was left mentally incapacitated after the scientist fell asleep at the wheel of their car. The scientist kills himself, but Reddy lets the billionaire think he [Reddy] took care of it so now the billionaire owes him a favor. Meanwhile, Tom is found by the German gang to whom he briefly belonged, but once they learn his ex-wife is FBI they back off. Also, Tom gives up the reason he infiltrated the gang, which sets his handler against him.
We open with a woman in lingerie with angel wings tattooed on her back injecting a man in a tub with a drug that paralyzes him. She then goes to his computer and logs in using his name. As she showers, the tattoo washes off and honestly if it were that easy it would have come off with simple body sweat. Not that I know anything about that at all. Why? What have you heard!?! As the paralyzed man slips under the water she kisses him one last time and leaves. Oooooh. Now I’m thinking Cliff Richard’s “Devil Woman” should be playing on the soundtrack. Dressed and dressed down she goes home to her own girlfriend who’s wearing a wig so bad I’m thinking she might be some kind of criminal in disguise too. Bad Wig Girlfriend thinks Devil Woman was away on a simple business trip. She offers Devil Woman her own drawer saying, “I know it’s too soon.” I’m now remembering the joke a lesbian I once worked with told me about lesbians, second dates and u-hauls. It’s inappropriate for me to repeat it.
