Kate Middleton Baby Birth to be Announced Via Twitter
It looks like the Royal Family has entered a new era. While we all loved the old fashioned way Prince George’s birth was announced, with a birth announcement being hung on the gate of the Palace, the birth of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton’s second child will be announced via email, followed by a tweet. Yes – a tweet.
The news of the arrival of Kate and William’s baby at St. Mary’s Hospital in London will be emailed to the press. Then following the email, the news will be announced on the palace’s social media feeds, including the @KensingtonRoyal Twitter and Instagram accounts.
With Kate Middleton said to be past her due date (although the official due date was never announced) and rumors the Duchess will be induced to give birth, the press is on high alert. Middleton’s due date was said to be at the end of April and since it is the end of April, we are all waiting with bated breath to hear the words that the new Prince or Princess has arrived.
Although camping outside of the hospital is not allowed this time around, the press is on alert awaiting for news of the birth. Since a tweet is what we will all be waiting for – you can sit by your twitter account and wait for @KensingtonRoyal to make an official announcement.
Like everyone else in the world, we will be waiting anxiously for an email, tweet or a sighting of Kate heading to the hospital and keep you on alert if the Duchess so much as moves.
Anyone else sad we won’t see an announcement posted on the Palace Gates. Maybe it will still be announced that way, in addition to the email and Twitter and Instagram? What are your thoughts? Leave a comment and let us know.
