Kim began the interview by saying,

“I am really happy for him that he is living his life the way he wants to live it and that he has found inner peace and just pure happiness. I don’t know what life would be like if you always felt like you weren’t yourself. She continued by saying, “I know it’s not something you or I could fully understand but I don’t even think we have to. I think as long as he’s happy and he wants to live his life, however he wants to live it, that just makes me happy and I support him 100%.”

Lauer asked her if there was an adjustment period for family members to fully understand Jenner transitioning to a woman. Kim responded by telling him there is still an adjustment. The Kardashian/Jenner clan are undergoing family therapy so they can adjust to the new Bruce Jenner.

She spoke about the reports in the trashy tabloids that say, ‘this one’s angry or this one doesn’t support him and set the record straight by saying it’s really just made up and they all really support Jenner.’ She admitted it is a hard adjustment and they are still learning how to deal with it as it’s a daily process.

Matt asked her what it takes to adjust and for an example as to what she means by ‘adjusting.’ Kim responded by saying, things like ‘What do we call him? Do we call him or her? She said there are so many different things and you just want to be supportive and respectful and everything just takes time. She did reveal that Bruce is allowing the family to take it at their own pace and he has been very helpful and understanding. The family will wait until the transition is complete before referring to him as a her.

Kardashian reiterated how close her family is and how supportive they have all been to each other, as well as to Bruce Jenner.

This can’t be an easy thing to process and the fact that the Kardashian/Jenner clan are so famous and document their life doesn’t make it any easier. Bruce Jenner has spoken about the transition to a woman in a very public interview with Diane Sawyer and will be documenting the transition, the process and how the family feels about it in an eight part series on the E! Network.
