Video: Beyonce Releases ‘Die With You’ for Tidal
Beyonce has released a video of her new song, ‘Die With You,’ on her new music video platform, Tidal.
In order to see the video on Tidal you will have to have a paid subscription, but since a lower quality video is already on You Tube, you can watch it here. Tidal is the first artist-owned global music and entertainment platform owned by major music artists including, Jay Z and Beyoncé, Arcade Fire, Calvin Harris, Coldplay, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Jack White, Jason Aldean, J Cole, Kanye West, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Usher.
During the launch of Tidal, the musicians expressed a need to restore the value of music for the listeners. In other words, as Jay Z has said in a recent interview with Billboard magazine,
“People are not respecting the music, and [are] devaluing it and devaluing what it really means. People really feel like music is free, but will pay $6 for water.”
The billionaire is tired of giving away his music and wants the fans of both he, his wife Beyoncé and many more to pay up. In order to see Beyonce’s video in high quality you are going to have to pay for it. This seems to be the thinking of a number of musicians including Taylor Swift, who pulled her music from Spotify in 2014.
In the video ‘Die With You,’ Beyoncé is sitting at a piano and being filmed by Jay Z, with a handheld camera. Unlike her usual videos, where she is dancing with her entourage and wearing a flashy costume, the video is Beyoncé au natural. A baseball hat and her beautiful voice sitting at the piano singing.
We have the lyrics to the song, as well as the video on the next page.
