Forever Cancelled by ABC – Fans in an Uproar – See All Cancelled Shows
Forever is just one of the many television shows that was cancelled by ABC, but it was one of the fans favorites. The fans of Forever are very upset by the cancellation and want something to be done about it.
We have received emails and comments from hundreds of our readers, who have something to say to ABC. Some of the comments include:
Sarah said: “Damn ABC! I love FOREVER ……so tired of you cancelling my favorite shows……hope another station picks it up…….NBC? CBS…..FOX….PLEASE?”
Joe said: “Forever is one of my favorite programs. This really disgusting ABC has done this so many times before I just get into a show and it gets canceled.”
Jerry said: “I want to see Forever renewed…. I could pic a lot better than what is picked for renewal…”
There have been shows in the past that were cancelled and were later picked up by another television station. Think Cougar Town, with Courtney Cox. Cougar Town was on ABC for three years. When it was cancelled it was picked up by TBS for the final three seasons. The pilot episode for the television series had more than 11 million viewers and by its third season it had more than 8 million viewers. ABC opted to take it off the air before it was picked up by TBS.
What is surprising about Forever being cancelled is that it tied CBS’ season finale of Person Of Interest in the adults 18-49 demographic and beat the CBS drama with Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34. Despite its short lived time on the air, Forever improved Tuesday’s 10pm hour for ABC by 70% in Adults 18-49. ABC must be expecting big things from some of its pilots. Or maybe they didn’t expect the new series, How to Get Away with Murder, Secrets and Lies or American Crime to be as popular as they were and just don’t have room for Forever?
It’s time for the viewers of Forever to get that petition going. Write in to ABC, call, set up a Facebook fan page to Bring Forever Back. Do what you have to do to create a movement and get your favorite television shows to stay on the air.
