Interview: The Bachelorette Britt Nilsson Talks About Being One of Two Bachelorettes and How Happy She is With How It Ended Up
The Bachelorette is set to premiere on Monday, May 18th with two Bachelorettes, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson. By the time the show is over, there will only be one bachelorette. For the first time in Bachelorette history, we will see 25 men decide who they would prefer to date and compete for. Will it be the gorgeous, Britt Nilsson, who was eliminated from The Bachelor with Chris Soules, following a tense time with the other women who thought she was there for all the wrong reasons. Or will the pretty and funny, Kaitlyn Bristowe be The Bachelorette. By the way – we know who the next Bachelorette will be – we are just trying not to spoil it for everyone. See who the next Bachelorette is – Britt or Kaitlyn – here.
With a big two night premiere for The Bachelorette, we got an inside look at what happened, what Britt thought about the process, the men and much more!
Check out the interview below:
Was it a tough decision to do this or were you excited about it? It was a huge decision, but overwhelmingly I felt like it was the right decision. I saw love happening (with Chris Soules on The Bachelor) and I wanted to participate.
The first night – did you feel pressure being up against Kaitlyn? Honestly, the situation is nerve wracking because you are going to meet 25 people. I just felt like it was such a big deal, looking for a life partner, that I couldn’t do something wrong.
How did you and Kaitlyn get along? It ended up being pretty cool. We started hanging out at the end of Chris’ season. It was nice to have someone’s support.
What sort of discussions did you have between Kaitlyn before the show? We both just jumped in feet first. Our discussion was ‘we’re in this together, so let’s go.’
Was what one of the biggest surprises? Everything was a surprise. We didn’t know how it was it going to work or what it was going to be like.
Was there a moment that you thought after finding out you were one of two that you didn’t want to do The Bachelorette? I never thought I wasn’t going to do it. I never had reservations about doing it.
Is there anyone you could have been a Bachelorette with that you wouldn’t have wanted to do it with it? Yes – but I won’t say who. You can take a good guess.
When was the first time you found out there was going to be two bachelorettes? Did you have a strategy going into night one?
