Josh Duggar Allegedly Admitted to Molesting Minors – 5 Kids and Counting
Josh Duggar famous for being one of the stars of 19 Kids and Counting has reportedly admitted to molesting young girls, at least five and counting.
InTouch posted a copy of the original Springdale Police report dating back to December 2006. While the report shows just three counts of Forcible Fondling, some sites are reporting that an unidentified victim sent an email to Harpo Studios sparking an investigation. The Duggar family was in Chicago taping an interview for Oprah’s talk show. The email was forwarded to the Department of Human Services.
Other reports have Josh’s father, Jim Bob, bringing him to police after discovering his son leaving the bedroom of an alleged victim. Josh was put into a treatment program though it appears it was not a treatment program for sex offenders.
Josh was approximately 14 years old when he was charged. He was not convicted.
According to InTouch the state trooper investigating the original allegations never followed up and the case was not investigated until past the statute of limitations, which was three years at the time. In a shocking twist, that trooper, was later hit with child pornography charges and is serving a 56 year prison sentence.
Josh has three children with his wife Anna who is expecting their fourth. Josh is a lobbyist for the Family Research Council, a group that advocates for Christian values. The FRC promotes public policies that support strong marriage and families. They are voices in the debate against same sex marriage and have information on their website that offers support for those who experience “unwanted same-sex attractions.”
TLC has not made any decision about what to do with the hit show now that the disturbing revelations have been made public. According to a police report, the Duggar family reportedly said, “this entire incident had brought the family closer to God.”
