Mama June is blasting TLC over what looks like their continued support of the Duggar family in the wake of star Josh Duggar’s child molestation scandal. Honey Boo Boo was canceled after reports that Mama June was dating her daughter’s molester. TLC appears to be supporting the Duggar family in the wake of reports that Josh molested at least five young girls, some possibly his own sisters, reports that Josh confirmed.

Josh stepped down from his position at the Family Research Council admitting the charges were true, without naming his victims. In his statement he acknowledged that he “acted inexcusably” saying he was “deeply sorry” for what he termed “my wrongdoing.” His parents made sure that he and his victims received counseling.

Mama June doesn’t think “wrongdoing” is harsh enough and is considering legal action against TLC for supporting them after dumping her show last October after she was accused of dating a convicted sex offender. In Mama June’s case, it was her oldest daughter, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell who had reportedly been molested repeatedly when she was 8 years old by Mama June’s ex, Mark McDaniel. (Anna went public with her accusations or her identity would have been protected.)

TLC was quick to respond to complaints when reports came out that Mama June was dating not only a convicted sex offender, but someone that had molested her own daughter. Mama June told TMZ that she was considering suing TLC over what she considers a double standard. Calling it “blatantly unfair and inconsistent treatment,” she pointed out that Josh was one of the breakout stars for the TLC reality show while McDaniel had never appeared on her show Honey Boo Boo.

Mama June also expresses skepticism over the Duggar family statement in which they spoke about being closer to God. In their latest statement they called Josh’s actions “some very bad mistakes” adding that it made them “seek God like never before.” Mama June wasn’t buying it, telling TMZ, “I read that the Duggar family said, this happening with their son brought them closer to God and each other,” before asking, “So they’re saying it’s ok to have family touch time? Hell no.”

The reality mama had appeared on Dr. Phil after her own child molestation scandal broke. She denied dating McDaniel, a registered sex offender, claimed she only saw him twice, accidentally, after his release, and claimed photos of them in bed together were photoshopped. Despite admitting on Dr. Phil that her family was starting to feel “wore down” by demands of the show, Mama June has bitter feelings over TLC’s differing treatment.

Will TLC cancel the Duggars? Are they being treated differently than Honey Boo Boo’s family? Is it because one family was trashy and the other talks to God? What are your thoughts on TLC having two shows with child molestation scandals?
