Royal Baby Watch: Kate Middleton Gives Birth to a GIRL!
The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has given birth to a healthy baby girl.
Kensington Palace tweeted the following message:
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am, followed by The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.
With the message, Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
The Duchess was reportedly well past her due date, with rumors that she would be induced if the baby didn’t arrive soon. The Duchess of Cambridge was taken to St. Mary’s hospital at approximately, 6 in the morning, by car. Kensington Palace has been providing up to the minute news via twitter beginning with posts this morning saying:
“HRH The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour.”
Taking to the streets the birth was official when it was announced by a man named Tony,
“Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah on this day, the 2nd of May, the year 2015 we welcome with humble duty the second born for the royal highness, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Princess is 4th in line to the throne. God save the queen.” He then followed by ringing his bell and saying, “Three cheers to the Princess. Hip Hip. God save the Queen.”
The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth and The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and as expected are delighted with the news.
