Tina Fey Gives David Letterman the Dress Off Her Back
As David Letterman’s days wind down on the Late Show with David Letterman, celebrities are appearing on his show to say good bye to the talk show legend.
Comedienne and actress, Tina Fey, appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman where she gave him the dress off her body.
Fey told David Letterman,
“This is my last time wearing a fancy dress on a talk show and conforming to gender norms out of respect for you. My gift to you is I want to give you the dress.”
Women everywhere cheered as she explained how much work it is to wear a dress and how uncomfortable it is, as well. She explained to Letterman that he is probably unaware of the “contraptions” that are under a dress – wearing spanks is not an easy task. She went on to say she only wears dresses “out of respect for you.” She then said, “I’m not gonna wear put on a dress for Jimmy [Fallon]? That’s creepy. He’s like my brother” or “special underwear for James Corden? Not gonna happen.”
Fey’s gift to Letterman was the blue dress she was wearing. Under the dress was a black leotard. On the front it read, “Bye Dave!” and on the back on her butt it read, “#LastDressEver.”
Fey received a standing ovation from the audience and David Letterman could only say, “Oh my heavens” and “God Bless you my dear.”
Fey is well known for her antics, having hosted the Oscars and appearing on Saturday Night Live for many years before starring in the sitcom, 30 Rock.
